What is the theme of Love & Lassos?
Love & Lassos is a Trigun fanzine that is turning the beloved space-western into a full-on cowboy western. Depictions of the characters from all source material is welcome, as are headcanon interpretations and AUs. While we love the main cast, we are hoping to showcase many of the supporting characters in this zine as well!Where will the proceeds generated by the project go?
Love & Lassos is a for-profit zine. Proceeds will go towards the manufacturing of the zine, and any additional revenue will be split evenly amongst the contributors.Can I apply for multiple positions?
You are more than welcome to apply for multiple positions, however, contributors will only be given one position on the zine. Please indicate which position you are most interested in on your application. It is possible that later on in production, contributors will be able to perform in multiple positions to fill any gaps that emerge in the zine. For example, if you were to apply as both a writer and an artist and were accepted as an artist, you may be able to pinch hit for a writing position later on. Applying for multiple positions does not automatically make you a pinch hitter for the position you are not accepted for.What is a pinch hitter?
A pinch hitter is an individual that is not a part of the initial contributor team, but may be added to the team during production to fill out gaps in the zine should members of the initial contributor team drop out of the project or become unable to finish their pieces in time. Pinch hitters will be on standby-by throughout production, and may have less time to complete a piece given they will likely be added to the team during production.How many pieces of work am I expected to create for the zine?
Each contributor will create one finished piece for the zine. Merch artists will have the opportunity to pitch multiple smaller works, such as an emote set or sticker sheet, which will count as one finished piece.Is ship content allowed in Love & Lassos?
Ship content is permitted in the zine but is not the focus of the project. There are no ships officially connected with the zine, and we ask that any depictions of character relationships be kept SFW in the main zine. Relationships shown in both portions of the zine will be amongst non-related consenting adult parties. We would like this zine to be easily enjoyed by everyone. We ask that you do not apply to the zine with content that does not meet these guidelines or if you advertise content that does not meet these guidelines.Is NSFW content allowed in Love & Lassos?
Love & Lassos is a strictly SFW zine. We are considering an 18+ only NSFW add-on depending on the results of the interest check. We would like this zine to be enjoyable both to produce and consume for all Trigun fans, so controversial or potentially triggering content will not be depicted in either the SFW or NSFW portions of the zine. Relationships shown in both portions of the zine will be amongst non-related consenting adult parties. To reiterate, we would like this zine to be easily enjoyed by everyone. We ask that you do not apply to the zine with content that does not follow these guidelines.Can I apply to Love & Lassos with NSFW content?
Applicants are allowed to submit NSFW content in their application, however SFW content must be present in your application if you are applying for a SFW position. Please be sure to identify which pieces in your application area NSFW. Again, please do not apply to the zine with controversial or triggering content that would not meet the project’s guidelines.If I am selected for the zine, am I allowed to share previews/work in progress of my piece?
Works in progress may be shared amongst friends privately for feedback. WIPs should not be shared on social media. Towards the end of the project, previews of each contributor’s piece will be approved by the mod team to generate hype for the preorder release.Can I sell the work I make for Love & Lassos?
All contributors retain the rights to their pieces created for the zine. Contributors are welcome to reproduce and sell their work after the zine’s release.How will payment be distributed to contributors?
Revenue from Love & Lassos will be split evenly amongst all contributors of the zine. This revenue will be calculated and distributed after leftover sales have concluded. Contributors will be able to request a preferred method of payment such as Venmo, Zelle, etc.
